So, I got a slow cooker last year for Christmas and immediately dropped the lid on my foot. (The box was upside down and I didn't realize it.) It's a gigantic thing, but I love it. Well, this year for Valentine's Day I got a much smaller slow cooker. It's adorable. Works just as well but I don't feel like I'm trying to feed an army. I've only made a few things, usually with red meat like 3 dozen servings of chili or a pot roast. But with the small one, I tried a recipe fit for just two pork chops. It was basically the chops, potatoes, carrots, and mushroom soup... which I think is most slow cooker recipes now that I think about it. And it turned out great, except, nothing that comes out of a slow cooker is ever going to be any other color than muddy brown. Tastes great. Looks like something fed to victims of the Spanish Inquisition just before their burning at the stake.
