Well crap. I watch a reality show now. I didn't mean to like this. I put it on the other day just for background noise and at first I thought it was one of those shows that amps up the drama by focusing on the negative comments of the people that go with the bride as she tries on dresses, or show co-worker's in conflict at the shop... but it doesn't. I mean, sure there are instances where the people there with the bride say unkind things, but when you really listen it's always about the dress, not the person in it, and always it ends with them finding the right dress and everyone is happy. So, I guess I'm still watching because it's more "feel good" than the kind of shows that thrive on depicting people at their worst.
But I do go slightly nuts whenever a bride comes in and she loves a dress that's a color other than white and everyone with her then try to talk her out of it because white is "traditional". There's no actual rule that says you have to wear white, FFS. If she wants a blue dress, let her wear a blue dress!

I love the Great British Baking Show! But I already watched all of the seasons.
It's not that I feel bad for watching this show. It's just... it's not the kind of show it would ever occur to me that I'd like. But it's actually rather sweet. The salespeople never pressure anyone into a dress, they try very hard to find a dress for every person that comes in, and they themselves aren't concerned with the color. The guy who owns the story even designed a blue wedding dress. And for the most part, the people with the bride to be are supportive. Sure, there are examples of a comment or two, but as I said before, their comments are about the dress and not the person. It'd be so easy to edit the show to make it seem like a catfight every time, so I'm glad they aren't doing that. There's enough negativity in the world. Which I guess answers why I actually like the show? Whatever. Expect posts, is all I'm saying.
