Watched the pilot episode last night on the DC Universe streaming service and found it to be top notch. Misfits that have had accidents happen to them and are put back together by Chief who is played by Timothy Dalton who is perfectly cast. R rated for sure and I didn't even know that Brendan Frasier was going to be Robot Man so that was nice to see him after such a long time. The effects are really good as well and I hope they have a bigger budget in the following episodes so they can show some of the other characters powers more. They are doing one episode a week like they did with Titans so you can't binge it, but I did see that Titans is on Netflix now so you can binge that if you want to see a DC Universe show. I'm only about halfway with it and find it to be okay but rushed. Doom Patrol is solid and hope the rest of the season lives up to the pilot and how they set up the tone of this series. Highly recommended!
Yeah, it has Titans and Doom Patrol as original content right now. All of the Batman animated series and their animated movies and comics you can read digitally. After Doom Patrol I believe their next show is Swamp Thing. I think its only $4.99 a month. They space out the new series eps a week at a time to prevent people signing up for a free trial, binge a show and then cancel.
Anyone remember back in the day when people wanted cable "a la cart" and all the cable companies said they couldn't do that? Well, seems that's where we are headed, but the cable companies are the ones being left out. But most channels are 5 bucks a month and that's too much. When you put them all together, it's going to be more than cable, which gives you 1000 + channels. Netflix is 8 bucks, Hulu is 7, unless you get Hulu Live which is 29. Then all these streaming services to get the "exclusive" shows on that channel. Like CBS All Access, DC, soon Disney. So frustrating.
