That must have taken forever to shoot.
Also, I live in a small space, but that's a very small space. It reminds me of the Philip K. Dick novel, The Man Who Japed. The MC had an apartment like that.

I think we are moving more towards a borrowing society than owning, which frees up a lot of space a person needs. I kind of feel like Gen X might be the last generation that "collected" things to the degree we do. I grew up with people that wanted wall to wall CDs or comic books, or Funko Pop! dolls, etc. I just look at all my shelves of books sometimes and think, 'ya know, libraries exist...' but we grew up with bookstores everywhere and in the shadow of Amazon. Millennials don't seem to be collection-focused in the same way. No idea what Gen Z wants.
So if you just have the essentials, and some of those essentials can fold away... I guess it's just with clever and thoughtful design, we don't actually need to take up as much room as we seem to think. The problem is, keeping quality high while not then overpricing these smaller spaces. Because you just know that'll be what happens instead. The idea that some people can live in a smaller space comfortable will mean everyone should, regardless of the usability of that space.
There was another video on YT I came across where this guy shows tiny apartments in Japan and some of those were just stupid. One apartment was basically a hallway that wrapped around the outside of a building in an L shape, with a pillar in the middle to make the only slightly larger space completely unusable, and the toilet was positioned so when you were on it, the floor slanted up where your feet would go to make room for the stairs underneath. And then there was a "loft" that was more like the kind in pop-up campers, where you crawl in on a mattress on the floor but can't even sit up in bed. The one girl who lived in one of the apartments didn't even have furniture and she sat on the floor because there wasn't room even for a chair. WTF.

No idea what Gen Z wants. They want books. My new roommates won't read a lot on a screen. They - and their friends - prefer a physical copy. Everything else they want streamed, and a fair number do like vinyl. That said, the bookshelf is going nowhere. I get the feeling developers will just do this to cram more people into a smaller space. I don't think we need that much space to live in (I live in 400 sq feet, but would like about 150 more), but I think we'd want a fair amount of space around us, or not so much density.

Oh yeah, greed is a problem.
Wait so... Gen Z are just hipsters 2.0??? Lame.

I think we're all hipsters when it comes to books. There's something about the medium that just doesn't satisfy when it comes to being on a digital platform. It's not to say they don't consume books via kindles and whatnot, it's just that a physical book is more satisfying.

I get emails from a few companies like this. A lot of them seem to specialize, like A-frame houses, container houses, etc.
This is a nice site, though. Lots of nice options.
