Met Charlie Cox today and got his autograph at Dragon-Con. His panel was really cool about how he had someone who was actually blind hang out with him so he could watch their mannerisms while they did things. He talked about how he would watch the persons eyes when he spoke. He said that they would look at his mouth, basically where the sound was coming from. The funny thing is, on screen it doesn't play, so the way they do it in Daredevil is he looks at the other actors shoulder to make it work. Really interesting. Another cool thing he talked about was how he came to create Matt Murdock's voice. His idea about it was that because Matt is so hyper-sensitive that his speaking voice would be something that would be pleasing to the ear. Now that I know that, it's so obvious! Also, there is the rumor about The Defenders being in Avengers: Infinity War. When asked about this he was very quick to want to change the subject. I'm taking that as a "yes". I've been going to cons for a long time and there are actors that are jerks to their fans. He is not one of them. He took time for us to have a nice interaction, ask me about my life, and thank me for me being there. Finally, as a lifelong Daredevil fan and my favorite character in the MCU, this guy embodies Daredevil and Matt Murdock. He is to Daredevil what Christopher Reeve was to Superman. Today was a good day.
He's on vacation though... or out of his jurisdiction...?
I don't understand the actors that are jerks to their fans at things like this. If you don't want to be there, don't go. I know it can probably be easy to get jaded over these sorts of things. Answering the same questions over and over or coming across too many fans that can't separate you from the role and that can get annoying, but even then they should be able to step back from going for a while. I joked with Abby that agents should almost give classes on how to handle conventions. From the large ones and the mass of people they're going to encounter to the smaller ones and preparing them for having to fill up time when there aren't moderators. (Smaller cons do that. It's pretty awkward unless you have people in the audience willing to get up and ask multiple questions, which I've seen happen.)

It's always cool when they interact like real people...
That's why I prefer smaller venues... It allows them to be more available.
Volbeat does that at smaller shows. Coincidentally I'm seeing them again on Wednesday, but I digress... At the beginning of their show they told us they'd meet anyone that wanted to outside. Also, not to worry, everyone would get as much time as they wanted, "we'll be the last ones leaving". That's a damn good way to keep a loyal fan base...
I went to Shore Leave last year and I was walking around the vendors booths and realized I was being shadowed for a few booths by Jaime Murray, who played HG Wells on Warehouse 13. She was as into the shopping as anyone else, but she also was taking out the time to speak to each of the vendors, which I thought was nice.

NYPinTA: I know I had it on trying to get all the people who used to chat on Shield.TV (which is gone) and Whedonesque (which is shut down) but had no real way of getting their attention.
