I'm pretty sure I mentioned it, but my mother had opted to be donated to the anatomical gift program at the local teaching hospital and that can take some time, but they are finally going to be putting her and all the others that opted for donation to rest next Monday and it's at a cemetery that is split into two sections, one Catholic and the other non-denominational. My dad had also opted for donation back in 2009 so he's already laid to rest in the Catholic portion. But my mother isn't Catholic, so when they called I asked that she be placed in the non-denominational cemetery because it didn't feel right to have her alone on the Catholic side. But then a few days ago when I was online trying to look up the time again, I was reading about the ceremony and it said that for any of the Catholics that were interred there via the donation program were buried to include a space for any family to later be put with them. So I called them to ask about having my mom put with my dad (because maybe she isn't Catholic, but she married one so...) and now because the ceremony is in a week they people organizing it all have to scramble to make sure my mom's ashes are going to be put in the right spot. I even asked the guy at the anatomical gift foundation about markers and how it was all done and he never mentioned the additional space left for people to have family members placed together so I feel bad I'm making people have to run around last minute like this. My mom was a practical person and she quite honestly wouldn't care where she was placed. But it seems weird to leave him alone on the Catholic side and her alone on the other side.
I just hope they don't need any paperwork from me because everything I have is in my fireproof safe but I broke the lock and haven't had a chance to get it fixed...

I only feel bad because one of their co-workers gave me the wrong information so it's people who had nothing to do with the initial donation that has to fix someone else's error now last minute. And a little bit because maybe I should have been paying more attention to the details rather than just accepting what I was told.

Don't feel too bad. I mean, I'm sure the dude who talked to you didn't even think about it, but still, I feel like it should have been something they would be aware of, given this situation.
They have it all sorted for me, so no need for a grinder just yet. It's the handle that broke. I can unlock it, but I have to use the key as the handle to lift the lid but I'm afraid I'll end up breaking the key if I keep using it that way.
I'd give the guy a pass, except I specifically mentioned that my dad was already at the cemetery and that he had been donated too, so you'd think it would have trigged him to mention it at the time. But whatever. I caught it. They fixed it.
